For the past ten years, several organizations such as European Commission, UN organizations, World Bank, ADB, DANIDA, IGES etc. have promoted CDM by various projects and schemes.  Though India and China are very advanced in CDM, more new CDM projects are coming up in other countries also.

These days, in ERPA, several concessions are given to the CER sellers. Still, in the market we observe considerable difference in ERPA between different buyers and depending upon the terms of ERPA CER prices vary. Today, several buyers are also bearing the PDD and other CDM related development costs.

In the past five years, there is a good development in the CDM Executive Board and the no. of projects registered with CDM Executive board has increased many folds. Still several new methodologies are being developed for catering to difficult projects and situations, but the CER resulting from the EB methodologies are conservative.  These days getting EB approval is very tough and the validation process is also very stringent.  So, a high quality PDD is absolutely necessary for getting approval.

We observe that even after the failure of Copenhagen Conference in 2009, still there are CER buyers in the market who buy post-2012 CERs but at a lower rate.   We have completed more than 25 PDDs for Southeast Asia and Africa alone and are currently working with several other PDDs.
